  Orchestro is a big data company that provides insight to its clients by harmonizing disparate demand data and applying pre-emptive analytics to execute profitable actions. • Created a store clustering R script that allows the company to better identify similar stores for the purpose of providing more accurate alerts to our clients • Built a time series regression model, in R, to perform a SNAP (food stamp) impact analysis for one of our clients • Presented our findings from this analysis to over 40 members from our client's company and provided a recommendation resulting in better stocking methods • Re-wrote cleansing rules in both Python and Clojure to weed out "bad"​ data from incoming data files. This "bad" data was then stored in a different file/table in case the data was deemed legitimate. • Implemented a series of POCs as we looked to transition from SQL to Hadoop as our main storage system. POCs included some work with Apache Drill, Spark, Hive and Impala. Show less
