I also ran activities such as sports, arts and crafts, and gave guided tours.This was a position of high responsibility as I was entrusted with the care of children in large busy cities. Theposition required that I would continually have to take initiative and it relied heavily on my leadership skills as oftengroup leaders would change the plans at very short notice.   Undegraduate Manufacturing Improvement Engineer

  I opted to take a year out from my studies to complete an industrial placement year at JLR as I recognised its value to my professional development. During my placement I worked as part of the manufacturing improvement team whose goal is to make production at the EMC more lean and capable. I was involved in a variety of projects, ranging from designing and manufacturing solutions for specific problems to creating digital systems and databases and redesigning manufacturing processes.The placement was particularly useful in the development of my project and stakeholder management skills. I frequently designed solutions for specific issues and thereby improved my ability to work effectively with clients to realise their ideas and balance different objectives. Show less
