      Working for Yorkshire Water and Severn Trent Water working as a liaison between customer and the Water Company. This meant calling on customers for the testing of their water inside their premises. Logging devices a computerised recording device for measuring flow and pressure on trunk mains and mains pipes. These loaded into a computer. The figures from testing the water flow and pressure from domestic and commercial premises and direct work on water mains pipe towards an engineers report to ascertain the condition of the water mains outside the customer’s premises. Measuring with a wheel work carried out for resurfacing by council contractors after water meters were installed. Establishing the route of trunk mains in West Yorkshire using fire hydrants and other water pipe apparatus for new Ordinance Survey type maps. Database work using FoxPro for processing house call names and addresses for future customer calls. Show less
