      Responsible for managing the newspaper's website. Position required skills in newsgathering, editing, photography, page design, web-based application programming, fiscal oversight, supervision of a staff of three, and strategic planning. The department I oversaw was part of the paper's information services from 1998 to 2004. During that time I was responsible for helping the IS director with trouble shooting networking and desktop PC issues. I helped setup network profiles for new employees and troubleshoot issues with e-mail and log-in. I was also responsible for the creation of web based application for the company's intranet.       Responsible for the day-to-day news operations of San Antonio's largest website. I supervise nine producers who cover shifts from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week. Number two editor for the site with responsibilities that included supervising the news coverage of the site and updating the homepage. I also worked on long term projects with the site's partners, the Express-News and KENS 5. In-charge of the editorial team during the director's absence. Edited and posted video from our television partner and set up live web streaming for special events. Managed $1M project that moved a large news website from one content management system to another by coordinating efforts between two partner/owners and company staff to move content both editorial and advertising to a new more stable platform.
