  ‘The origin of titanium isotopic anomalies within solar system material’ Pristine extraterrestrial materials such as carbonaceous chondrites display subtle variations in their Ti stable isotope ratios. Correlated enrichments and depletion are observed between 50Ti and 46Ti (when normalizing to 49Ti/47Ti) within a wide range of solar system material. As part of this project whole rock samples of different extraterrestrial material have been digested and chemically separated in order to analyse Ti stable isotopes using MC-ICPMS. In order to infer a possible source for the anomalies produced within solar system material nucleosynthesis models for Type II core collapse Supernova and Type Ia are incorporated into mixing models.
