  As part of the powertrain sub-team of Formula Manipal, • Designed and manufactured the engine air intake and exhaust manifolds for the 2010 season car, FM-X, making extensive use of 1D engine simulation software Ricardo WAVE. • Achieved weight-reduction, modularity, and reduction in manufacturing time by introducing Rapid Prototyping to Formula Manipal, fabricating the intake manifold and connected components using SLS technique. • Manufactured the exhaust manifolds for FMX and dynamo-meter-testing, both in-house by TIG welding of stainless steel. • Worked on IC engine tuning and calibration on an Electronically Fuel Injection System for a 600cc Honda CBR 600RR engine in conjunction with the associated sensors for Formula Student purpose.At 256kg, FM-X was declared the “lightest Indian FSAE car ever built” (as of 2010).
