  Worked on analyzing the impact of missing observations on balanced incomplete block design which has its applications in many key areas, including experimental design, finite geometry, physical chemistry, software testing, cryptography, and algebraic geometry. Information loss or missing of experimental data from research plots or fields are common. Postulated two statistical criterion for balanced incomplete block designs to be robust against loss of information or missing data. Identified a series of balanced incomplete block designs which are robust and must be used if an experimenter is planning an experiment using balanced incomplete block design with a prior knowledge of information loss possibility.   Studied and investigated an alternative method which can be used in general crop estimation survey by Government of India replacing the existing approach. Crop estimation survey plays crucial role in planning and implementation of agricultural policies. The existing quinquennial survey is time consuming and takes lot of efforts in conducting large number of crops cutting experiments nationwide. Our alternative strategy examined the possibility of reducing the number of crops cutting experiments by estimating crop production utilizing farmer’s expertise or co-variate analysis. Use of ranked set sampling on multiple frames found out to be more precise than the existing design with same number of sampled units. Though extensive research must be carried forward to check its efficacy in field surveys and further improvement in the approach.
