Also, carsharing and ride-hauling are likely to play a more important role in future scenarios. Therefore, we came up with a product that makes use of these two perspectives in order to optimize the rescue chain.EMMA (Emergeny Medical Assistant) aims to improve healthcare by offering a smart assistant that supports persons in medical emergency situations. After using both built-in and additional sensors of cars, as well as a voice interface to evaluate a person's vital signs, EMMA then forwards these informations to an ambulance-dispatcher. After the dispatcher decided how to react to this person's call for help, EMMA reacts accordingly by either driving rendez-vous to a dispatched ambulance car or directly driving to an appropriate hospital. Also, the car itself (e.g. the seat) can be adjusted to support the patient as good as possible. Our first prototype included a first voice-user-interface for anamnesis and was able to measure a person's pulse and breathing frequency using MatLab. This information was then used to adjust virtual actuators that represented various actuators inside the car. Weniger anzeigen

The individual results are then stored in a Blockchain to gurantee that they cannot be altered. In the end, citizens can then easily access the results of public votes and also filter these results by the tags. This facilitates the act of looking at the voting behavior of politicians and parties. We built this system using Microsoft Azure and especially their integration of Ethereum. The front-end of the first prototype was realized with Nuxt.js. Weniger anzeigen

HELIX consists of a box with solenoid magnets which can be triggered to resemble Braille-letters and a skill for Amazon Alexa as user interface. Users can ask Alexa to show them a certain letter or also participate in a "quiz mode", in which they are shown random letters and can then guess the letter. When realizing HELIX, we connected with teachers for blind people and persons from the Braille-committee of German speaking countries early on. By adding them into our design-thinking process, we strived to maximize the added value brought by our solution. Weniger anzeigen
- Awarded to Thomas Bauer"hack@night"-Hackathon Winner BMW Group Nov. 2017 First place in the track "BMW - Digital Companion"---1.25 million people die in road traffic every year. Therefore we, a team of 5 students, used the chance to work with a real car to build a solution that increases driving safety.By combining and processing various data from both the vehicle (e.g. speed, acceleration, tire grip) and external services (e.g. weather), our simulation was then able to communicate with the driver and give suggestions regarding the driving.

Those who're currently undergoing treatment have a hard time getting back to normal life during their rehabilitation. Our team of 4 developed an application called MoodAmigo that helps their circle of friends to actively support them.Data generated by the Simplelink CC1350 SensorTag by Texas Instruments (e.g. voice, ambient light, and movement) is saved on the IBM Bluemix platform, and analyzed using Watson services such as the "personality insights", "tone analyzer", and a "sentiment analyzer". Based on this, MoodAmigo is able to tell whether the patient is in an emotional crisis and if so, notifies specified acquaintances who then can cheer up the patient. For demo purposes, a panel showing the different results was integrated. For further information, please visit www.devpost.com/software/moodamigo Weniger anzeigen
