      As a Product Developer at BMC AMI DevX Workbench, I am part of a team that develops a Java application based on Eclipse IDE that provides a modern-day interactive UI experience for mainframe users. My role involves researching new enhancements and features for the product and our Business unit, developing, and fixing existing bugs and various aspects of the product, such as editors, parsers, grammars, and debuggers for z/OS based programming languages such as COBOL and PL/I. We follow agile methodology in our workflow and deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.Key achievements during my tenure include:- Achieved an 80% reduction in error counts on programming language syntaxes in workbench editors by improving the accuracy and reliability of the code analysis-Optimized the parser and editor grammars, resulting in a 3-4 times faster code parsing and enhanced performance and efficiency of the workbench- Upgraded workbench code debug to support COBOL 6.3 by developing new features and supporting syntaxes for existing features, ensuring compatibility and functionality- Working on an internal project focused on migrating z/OS-based REXX codes to Python, leveraging expertise in both languages.- Contributing to a groundbreaking feature for the Workbench, currently undergoing patent review, particularly in the realm of Generative AI and Machine Learning capabilities.I am passionate about developing innovative and user-friendly solutions for mainframe customers, and I enjoy working with a talented and collaborative team.
