      Following the completion of A-Level studies, I began working with Gardner Mezzanines, taking on a number of roles over two decades. These include: Mezzanine Flooring Installer, Fabricator, Surveyor and Designer and Sales. My sales role quickly developed following success as an Area Sales Engineer. This led to my promotion as Southern Area Sales Manager with sole responsibility for setting team objectives and sales targets which the team consistently exceeded month-on-month.

      Initial responsibility to increase the presence of Trade Mezzanines throughout the South East of England, and undertake contract negotiations with new clients, as well as carry out detailed site surveys and costing and converting this into new business. Within 12 months, I was tasked with moving into the production department to advise the business on how to increase the manufacturing capacity of Mezzanine International, our parent company, and the UK’s number 1 supplier of mezzanine flooring (Plimsoll 2015). Together with the design team, we developed and improved the features and functionality of our design and contracts managements software, both streaming our systems and driving the internal efficiency of the entire Group. The result for the Group, including Trade Mezzanines is that we can identify ways to cut costs and leads times, savings we pass on to our partners to help reinforce their profits and profile.Gradually the role has developed to become predominantly focused on the development of Trade Mezzanines as its own standalone business. In the last three years we have witnessed the business steadily grow as our trade partner’s average order value has risen, and our detailing team has doubled, again resulting in reduced installation time for our customers.Mezzanines as becoming its own stand alone manufacturing entity which continues to grow.
