      Staffing Resource Specialist

      Ms. Benbow currently works under the staffing team for the Prime Contractor of a large IT contract, as well as sub-contractor of smaller IT contracts. Ms. Benbow assists in the management of bench, on-contract, and contingent candidates who are looking for a new position within Praxis’ range of contracts. Once a candidate is made a firm offer or a contingent offer, Ms. Benbow ensures that their resume is entered in the Praxis Information Management System, a proprietary staffing portal and information management system. She enters their rate in the staffing metrics rate sheet, and ensures a welcome note is sent via email. Whether a candidate is firm, contingent, or on-contract looking for a new role, Ms. Benbow matches them to open positions by closely examining their skillset, as presented in their resume, and pairing them to qualifying positions. Positions that closely match their skill set, Ms. Benbow will send via email to the candidate for their review. When a candidate is interested in a position, Ms. Benbow works with the candidate to get them submitted by writing a skills matrix (a document with mandatory skills optional skills asking explicit details of a candidate’s skillset), or other required documents (e.g. summary of qualifications, highlights of candidate skillset, etc.) required to submit them to the position. She also keeps the candidate updated of the status as their submission as it moves through the review process. Ms. Benbow submits contingent candidates who are willing to pursue the sponsorship process, also known as the clearance process, via PIMS. She follows up with the recruiting team in order to ensure that sponsorship candidates are engaged throughout the process. On a weekly basis, Ms. Benbow attends operations meetings and staffing meetings to provide updates about all candidates currently being submitted to and looking for open positions. Show less
