This project explored the experiences of women who were displaced from Hurricane Katrina, and the subsequent demolition of public housing in the gulf coast and New Orleans. My responsibilities consisted of assisting with research, creating interview protocols, drafting fact sheets and policy briefings, coding interviews, analyzing data, answering phones, taking notes during meetings and events, and other office duties.   An annual symposium dedicated to social justice issues with over 300 in attendance, I participated on the steering committee. Responsibilities were assisting with the creation of content and the agenda, creating a resource referral guide in conjunction with the county, and participating in follow up activities such as community meetings and larger events to continue efforts of improving the quality of life in Dona Ana County, New Mexico.

  Planned the logistics for a daylong community engagement and organizing workshop that took place in Doña Ana County in partnership with the second supervisory district of Los Angeles County, and the Empowerment Congress. There were over 70 people in attendance from all over the county. My responsibilities were reserving space, catering, sending out invitations, and making follow-up phone calls.
