  During my stint as a Summer Trainee at SAIL, Bokaro, I had the opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of steel production and instrumentation. It was an immersive experience that provided me with valuable insights into the intricacies of this dynamic industry.At SAIL, Bokaro, I witnessed first-hand the entire steel production process, from raw material handling to the final product. I was exposed to the advanced technologies and machinery utilized in blast furnaces, coke-oven factory, and various production units. This exposure allowed me to grasp the complexities involved in transforming raw materials into high-quality steel products.One of the key areas I focused on was instrumentation. I had the chance to work closely with experts in this field, learning about the critical role of instrumentation in maintaining optimal process control, precision, and safety. I gained hands-on experience in installing and calibrating instruments used for measurement, monitoring, and control purposes. Also, I got an opportunity to learn about the interfacing of field devices with Programmable logic controller and Distributive Control System for closed loop control system. Show less
