  In my role as an Advisor for the project, I play a multifaceted part in ensuring the success of the initiative. This encompasses developing terms of reference for the engagement of FAP and addressing power dynamics, advocating for the active involvement of young feminist organizations (YFOs) in Phase I research activities, collaborating on the research uptake theory of change, and guiding the criteria for identifying Core Participatory Action Research evaluation (PARe) community members. I also serve as a vital link between the project and the Core PARe community, offering input on design, implementation, and dissemination efforts for Phase II. Furthermore, I contribute insights and guidance on YFO safety and security concerns, with the shared aim of advancing the research project's objectives and empowering YFOs in Kenya. Show less

  Youth Advisory Board Member at OHCHR-EAA

  I am honored to serve as a member of the OHCHR-EAA Youth Advisory Board (YAB), working alongside 11 dedicated young human rights advocates from around the globe. Together, we focus on empowering and mobilizing youth, especially those in vulnerable situations, through various initiatives.Our responsibilities include collaborating with the Education Above All Foundation (EAA) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) to plan and monitor projects, developing capacity-building activities, and advising on the design and content of the Youth Empowerment System microsite. We also promote this system globally, engage with youth organizations, and participate in high-level events to raise awareness.In this role, we use tools like the Youth Rights Advocacy Toolkit and the YES: Youth Empowerment System to train young people in human rights advocacy. Our goal is to ensure meaningful youth engagement and empower individuals to stand up for their rights, resonating deeply with my passion for education and the rights of girls and women.My involvement in the OHCHR-EAA YAB aligns perfectly with my commitment to human rights advocacy, particularly in education and gender equality.
