      Kindergarten Teacher

      Worked in the capacity as a Kindergarten Teacher. Developed & administered Kindergarten level curriculum. Initiated the Traveling Bear program which increased home/school communications. Basically, a stuffed animal and a journal were sent home with the student for the weekend. The student then wrote entries describing their family’s routine and weekend events. This information was incorporated into lesson plans and updated weekly including awareness of other families, cultures, literacy etc. Utilized class made videos and computers in presentations for parents. To gain independence on the computer created a main menu for students to use. Conducted the implementation of lesson plans were developed on an interdisciplinary thematic approach to instruction, weekly. This meant taking a book and creating lessons in math, science, language arts, music, and art from the story. Students were introduced to basic foreign language words and sentences. Three years’ experience working with ESL students from the Middle East. Administer tests, implement assigned lessons in Everyday Math, Science, Language Arts & Reading, tailor lessons, and complete all lessons.       Developed customized, & specialized materials for Merck’s pharmaceutical clients. On-site training was conducted on Merck’s prescription drug benefit software for their clients’ human resource branches (healthcare division). I administered the training to various levels of personnel. The training comprised of understanding Merck’s software, resolving technical issues, and security issues through a hands-on approach and written assessment. The clients’ participants were evaluated through written evaluations and required to attain an 80% or better in order to satisfy Merck’s requirements. Participants who did not receive the appropriate grade were required to repeat the training until such time an 80% was achieved. Feedback surveys were utilized at each session for future instructor trainings. This feedback was crucial in the customization and development of future training course materials.       Initiated, developed, conducted & analyzed the teacher training program (as well as the training course materials) for national/international school districts (grades 5-12) & foreign government (Bahrain & Egypt) who purchased new technology labs. Oversaw and administered the technology teacher training programs instructing teachers in product software, hardware, curriculum activities, grade management usage, implementation and troubleshooting in their classrooms. Worked directly with US DOD & Egyptian Government installing a Technology lab in boys High School, in Ismalia. Planned, scheduled and traveled throughout USA, & observe former participants in their classrooms, provided them with written assessments regarding their implementation of the software, hardware and materials. Training course materials provided teachers with a statement of procedure (SOP) and understanding in completing each technology station (38 in all). Administered assessments daily and end of the course examinations to assess teachers’ knowledge & understanding of technology products and conduct data analysis. Developed and administered a specialized Train the Trainer program for teachers with no previous technology experience. Developed an Individualized Development Plan (IDP) for each Teacher to monitor their progress. Data analysis was utilized for future training development programs and by the scientists/engineers who developed products. Training presentations were conducted for small groups up to 2500 people, nationally throughout the USA & internationally (Egypt & Bahrain). Worldwide training sessions for employees were developed, prepared, organized, scheduled, and administered six times a year. Administered Technology curriculum & assessments for grades 4-6. Students were instructed in Microsoft products which were installed on a MAC computer requiring additional learning and understanding.
