  Volunteer

  Through my many years volunteering with Pure Hearts, I have taught in schools in villages for 100+ students, helped organise and MC'd fundraiser events with a 3000+ audience, created social media posts and articles, curated scripts and events, performed sign language, helped to conduct free medical camps for the underprivileged (over 500 people), and a lot more. I look forward to future initiatives with pure hearts.

I worked on proofreading and editing posts for search engine optimization within the software, implementing my proficiency in English and SEO advertising. I assisted in logo redesign and worked with the founder of the company to create a new startup which will be released soon.

  MedLink is a small student group bridging gaps between healthcare and people who can't access it. With my teammates, I volunteered with established NGOs to conduct a FREE medical checkup camp for the housekeeping staff at a residential society. I also spearheaded fundraising and getting donations to finance the monthly purchase of glucose strips and medical equipment for people who have diabetes.

  Summer Journalism Programme

  The Yale Daily News Summer Journalism Program is an intensive course in journalism for high school students. The program is run entirely by undergraduate staff members of the Yale Daily News. During the course of the program, high school students participate in workshops on the fundamentals of reporting and writing, attend lectures by esteemed guest speakers in the journalism industry and practice real hands-on reporting by producing a story. The students will publish their piece at the end of the program in a special issue produced by the Yale Daily News. Show less

  Bang In The Middle was awarded Agency of the Year by foxglove in 2022.With Bang In The Middle, I worked with the business team, conducting competitor research and media mapping for a brand we were working with. I made presentations under the mentorship of professionals and learned about the different methods of search engine optimization and creating effective marketing strategies/campaigns.I also worked in the art department, using Photoshop to create logo re-designs and learning the implementation of art in advertising.   Recipient of the second highest award - The Emerging Researcher Award.Was accepted to and participated in a 2-month-long online research program under YLAC. Worked in a team of 5 to co-author a research paper analysing the potential of the NEP 2020 to benefit marginalised individuals. Conducted research, interviews with industry leaders, and engaged extensively with the production process of this paper. The paper was written for The Centre for Law and Policy Research.

  Through my internship at So City, I worked with the social media team, directly engaging with and learning about content curation, practices and end-user engagement. During my tenure, I worked on extensive content ideation, visual static content production, content writing for captions and scripts and event and city-oriented research amongst others.
