      Information Technology Intern

For this summer student internship position I worked alongside the director of the Enterprise Data Group (EDG) which is a subdivision of the CMS Office of Information Services working with project lifecycle efficiency. I aided in the development of various stages of several projects to transfer medicare and medicaid claim services into a more accessible and effective data storage facility. I collaborated with multiple groups throughout OIS to determine the most practical and helpful new collaboration tool for communication between the different divisions. Throughout the workday I managed meeting scheduling, calendar organization, and file storage coordination. Show less

      Aug 2014 - Aug 2015
      Recreational Program Director

I serve as the liaison between the owner of ACE Gymnastics and the recreational program staff. I develop class schedules, rotations, and skill development progressions. Throughout the week I coach recreational gymnastics classes for children 2-12 years old. I also provide ongoing training for the recreational coaches by showing them the most effective methods of developing a positive and fun learning environment for every child. Periodically throughout the year I organize events such as the "Get Fit, Have Fun" fundraiser for elementary schools, National Gymnastics Day, and a Halloween celebration. At the end of each school year I put together an event called the "Victory Games" which is a competition simulation for the recreational class children that resembles a United States Association of Gymnastics (USAG) competition. Jun 2016 - Aug 2016
      Engineering Intern

I was a part of the 737MAX program in the propulsion stress group. I worked on structural repair manuals (SRM) that detailed the allowable damage limits for six parts. I reviewed the original strength check notes done on initial analysis, removed a percentage of material and reanalyzed the stress on multiple cross sections of the part. I then wrote a 40-60 page analysis based on the findings of the reevaluation. The SRM denoted which areas allowed damage and the type and extent of permitted damage. For this process I used various Boeing SAS tools for the analysis as well as Patran/Nastran, CATIA V5, Excel, and Word. Show less

    • Cummins Inc.

      Sept 2016 - Jan 2017
      Product Validation Engineer Co-op

I completed a five month co-op in the design, analysis, and drafting team at the Jamestown Engine Plant. During my time at Cummins alongside extensive training and several smaller scale projects, I have completed two larger projects: 1) I performed a dimensional variation analysis which determined the main tolerance contributors that led to an interference in two sets of plumbing and allowed for design recommendations on how to remedy this problem, 2) I oversaw the analysis of an alternative build cart design that required extensive structural integrity testing and documented this process in detail.
