      Natural Language Processing Intern

      Elemental Cognition has developed a Natural Language (NL) programming facility called Cogent that combines these technologies to make it much easier and cheaper to build powerful applications. We believe this brings something fundamentally new to the space, and we are eager to share it with small, interested groups.The goal of this internship is for the interns to be early users of Cogent. Interns will go through a training program to learn to use Cogent and then do projects expressing knowledge in Cogent and using EC's tools to test out how that knowledge can be applied. Along the way, interns will give lots of feedback: on the language itself, on the tooling, on the training materials, etc. This input will help us make Cogent better, ready for primetime.This internship will expose interns to areas of computer science including knowledge representation, formal reasoning, logic programming, natural language processing, machine learning, language design, and compilers.       SureStart MIT FutureMakers Winner SureStart, MIT RAISE Jul 2021 Participated in a 6-week program with SureStart and MIT RAISE. 4 weeks were used for learning deep learning techniques. The last two weeks were for creating a project using deep learning concepts. Our group developed a facial asymmetry detection app using computer vision and a deep learning model. We received first place.
