I am proud to assume additional resource development responsibility for the College's strategic initiatives and ongoing programming and facilities needs. In my new capacity, I manage the talented team of professionals that cultivates and closes Individual Major Gifts, and the dedicated people who are responsible for growing the Cazenovia Fund and for designing/implementing stewardship activities. Coupled with my continued work in External Relations and in Corporate, Foundation & Government Relations, the challenges of my broadened work scope are invigorating, and I am eager to blend a data-driven approach with the valuable personal connections that we have nurtured. Show less In addition to the corporate, foundation, and federal & state government constituents, with whom I build and manage relationships, I am pleased to accept the challenges of cultivating and leveraging strategic partnerships, advancing institutional initiatives, and stewarding more global collaborative opportunities. I am very pleased to have garnered millions of dollars in partner and sponsor support. Current projects include regional economic development, equine business, environmental studies, arts & cultural heritage, human service & education, comprehensive capital campaign focus areas, and strategies to continue raising the institution's national profile. While I continue to develop new funding applications and build programs with internal and external teams, I also administer existing grants and agreements. Often, success is a catalyst for more success, and I truly value the relationships I've been able to steward with institutional partners, which often lead to long-term mutually beneficial results. As part of this endeavor, I regularly speak at local, regional and national conferences on the subjects of government relations, program cultivation, and proposal development.I am also pleased to remain a member of the Communication Studies Program faculty, where I teach Speech & Rhetoric to juniors and seniors. In the past, I have also taught English and Composition courses. This is truly an exciting time for me and for Cazenovia College. I'm very fortunate to be part of the continuing and dramatic transformation of this institution! Show less I am very fortunate to work for an organization that I respect and that I hold close to my heart. In my current position, I have found success in building sustainable relationships with external partners and also in attracting millions of dollars in support for capital projects, academic scholarship, and student programming. I enjoy teaching in the Communication Studies Program as well, and I continue to learn from my students. I've seen so many of our young professionals use the confidence and the tools they've cultivated at Cazenovia College to go into the world and accomplish amazing things. Show less
