      During my role as a clinical observer took part in daily rounds with various consultants, took part in case discussions and patients’ management plans. Learnt about patient history taking, examination and blood sampling in the NHS under registrars supervision. Often observed procedures such as an ascitic tap and ascitic drain and observed DNPCR / Respect form discussions. Also observed various endoscopy procedures carried out by the consultants. During my attachment also presented a presentation on Ulcerative colitis in the department meeting and finished and presented one audit on the quality of ward rounds. Show less
