As an undergraduate, I held a work study position studying potentially useful molecules for use in drugs targeting canabanoid receptors early on. This was under the guidance of Professor Xiang-qun Xie and Professor Jianzhong Chen. I pursued a degree in chemistry but also maintained a heavy focus studying economics. The last year of my time as an undergraduate was spent studying crystalline colloidal arrays for use as a glucose sensor under the guidance of Michelle Ward in Sanford Asher's research lab. Technical Services

I help several project teams at organizations across the country maintain and enhance their electronic medical record system. Specifically, I focus my efforts on improving the way that anesthesiologists can chart in our system. I work primarily out of my office in Madison, but often spend several days on-site working with project teams and certified anesthesia staff to both maintain and enhance their system. My primary role is to act as a liaison between the people working in healthcare and the experts at my company. Internal projects give me the chance to directly impact the development of our software.Working with the hospital staff to combine my technical knowledge with their clinical expertise is a rewarding opportunity to improve the technical tools available to healthcare providers.
