One of the highlights of my internship was participating in the non-destructive inspection (NDI) of turbine blades, where I learned the intricacies of ensuring the structural integrity and performance of these crucial components. Additionally, I was involved in rotor balancing and assembly tasks, which deepened my understanding of the meticulous procedures required to achieve optimal engine performance. Moreover, my time at PAC Kamra exposed me to engine integration and test-bed facilities, where I had the opportunity to contribute to the testing and validation of engine systems. Overall, my internship at PAC Kamra was a transformative experience that not only enriched my knowledge of aerospace maintenance and overhaul but also fostered a passion for pursuing a career in the aerospace industry. • Global Industrial & Defence Solutions (GIDS)

      Jan 2010 - now

Multidisciplinary knowledge, teamwork, and decision-making skills that I have gained in my past experiences have geared me up for a systems engineering role. The development of requirements is one of the most challenging tasks in this role, which requires a complete understanding of user needs, design constraints, technological aspects, use cases, and regulatory compliance. I have gained proficient knowledge of FAR EASA Part 23/25, AEP-4671, and MIL-STD-512. Implementation of Vee-Model as a SE framework was performed, which cemented my skills to manage the product life cycle. The development of comprehensive test and evaluation master plans and leading the verification and validation are my achievements. I have experience in team building to resolve various engineering challenges and have led many IPTs. I have excelled in the art of vehicle design, sensitivity analysis, market analysis, evaluation of technology readiness, and associated risk. Show less As the modeling and simulation team-lead, I was responsible for developing mathematical models of dynamic systems, particularly for propulsion and vehicle dynamics. Propulsion system models include 0-D and 1-D models of IC engines, heat exchangers, and turbochargers on multiple platforms, such as MATLAB, SIMULINK, and C++. I have developed 6-DOF vehicle simulations for low-fidelity performance simulation and high-fidelity control system verification. I have assisted the team in servo design, simulation, and testing. The modeling of the wheel, suspension, and brake systems is performed to determine the associated loads and ground handling characteristics. Show less As a flight test engineer, I have been involved in flight test planning, execution, and post-flight data analysis. I have applied parameter estimation techniques such as least-square and EKF for verification of aerodynamic coefficients. Analysis and prediction of powertrain performance, including IC engines and propellers is also one of my areas of expertise. I have played a pivotal role in in-flight vibration measurement, modal testing, and frequency domain analysis. Moreover, I have performed ground handling and load analysis on tricycle configurations. Show less I started my professional career in aeromechanical integration projects, which is a broad field encompassing mechanical integration on aircraft while ensuring airworthiness. This was an opportunity to learn CAD surface modeling, which requires reverse engineering using CMM and scan data. Environmental qualification as per MIL STD 810G is another achievement that includes vibration, thermal, shock testing, etc. Safe flight and release envelopes are ensured via CFD. The impact on the modal characteristics is important as it can affect the aerodynamic behavior and produce anomalies such as LSO and reduced flutter margin. I have gained the requisite knowledge and expertise in this domain. Show less
