      Ensuring the safe and efficient running of trains by Signallers through regular monitoring and support to achieve performance objectives set by the Area Operations Manager. Delivery of the timetable to minimise delay and avoid network disruption. Ensure that the working environment of staff is fit for purpose, compliant t to Health & Safety requirements and ensure that any repairs or defects are carried out promptly to avoid potential accidents. Manage Safety of the Line incidents including on-call commitment (out of hours) and act as Accredited Agent for RAIB. Liaise with all departments of the railway for planned engineering works and incidents to ensure Rules and Regulations are applied without breach and ensuring that they comply with safety and Standards. Ensuring that all staff rosters are economical and comply with Hidden (fatigue) recommendations and ensure they are within my financial budget for the year. Network Rail Career Achievements• Sturry to Ashford resignalling scheme in 2003• Medway Valley resignalling scheme in 2005• Hastings Audit and staff morale improvement. • Introduction of a mapping system for the LOM’s that tracked our compliance and was then shared as best practice and used in various locations across the country. • Introduction of an Investigators Report Sheet for Anglia in 2013 to assist in improving investigations which was followed closely by an Investigators Help Spreadsheet keeping all documents and folders required in one location. • Management of the Canterbury West signal box refurbishment which was followed by the location being entered for the National Railway Heritage Award and mention in the magazine. • Highly successful in the Q12 Employment Survey being described as ‘World Class’.• Deputising for the Operations Manager as and when required. • Two major signalling projects completed in Kent.
