      Under North Lanarkshire I worked as a Maintenance Officer on domestic properties. I also had a two year secondment as a Sector Officer which included managing the maintenance of commercial properties such as schools, community centres, community sheltered complexes.

      My main duties as a Maintenance Officer at Govanhill were repairs, void property maintenance and looking after the maintenance in sheltered complexes within the area.

      Senior Project Officer

      Currently responsible for the management and delivery of the association’s asset management services including cyclical, planned and service contracts, gas servicing and repairs within domestic and commercial properties. Also deal with gas quality control and asbestos management including annual communal inspections, legionella management, dry riser, pump and ventilation systems, IEE inspections and currently co-ordinating the heat metering requirements linked to district heating systems.Have also worked on large scale planned contracts including window, structural and stonework contracts, and kitchen/bathroom/rewire contracts.Deliver SHQS projects within the recommended guidelines. Deliver projects within budgets and in line with the association's policies and procedures and within EU procurement legislation. Also have a proactive role in policy and procedure development in gas, asbestos and legionella management and ensure compliance with the relevant sections of the annual returns on the Scottish Social Housing Charter/ARC. Provide regular committee reports to committee and executive team on contractor /consultant's performance. Show less
