  In June of 2011 I was able to open Studio 2 Salon and Barbershop debt free. I have since been able to manage all operations successfully, and with high customer satisfaction and minimal employee turnover. Studio 2 is a part of the “Watch Muskegon Go initiative”. Small businesses in the area donate time and services to the community in an effort to help recover from the city’s recent financial hardships.   Pineland Salons DBA, Great Clips, is a brand new trio of privately owned and operated salons located in the Fayetteville/Fort Bragg area. In this unique situation I was able to plan, staff, oversee operations, and successfully open and manage 3 locations; including the first ever privately owned Great Clips to operate on an army base-Fort Bragg. As general manager I work closely with franchise owners to meet sales, budget and payroll goals, as well as ensuring customer count growth, and maintaining great employee morale and retention.
