      Continuous Improvement Manager

At Dillmeier, I am in charge of continuous improvement. I work with employees, managers, and executives to find solutions to various problems. The first major project I took on was the reorganization of $1.6 million of inventory in the cutting department of the plant. Before I started implementing solutions, there was multiple types of "deadly wastes," including transportation, inventory, motion, and waiting waste. After leading multiple mini-kaizen events, I re-arranged an entire department, maximizing efficiency and cutting down on waste. Before this project, getting certain "packs" of glass could take hours. After the implementation, all commonly used glass could be accessed and transported within 15 minutes.During my time at Dillmeier, I used programs like Microsoft Office and AutoCAD to complete various projects. Tasks included:- Creating CIL and PM lists for operators. - Working with shift supervisors to manage the glass cutting area of the plant.- Working with employees, shift supervisors, managers, and executives to create solutions to improve productivity.- Implementing Kaizen and lean management principles, by spearheading multiple mini-kaizen events. - Working with the safety team to implement safer solutions.- Worked with potential new suppliers and our buying team to cut costs of raw materials by over 15%. Special Project Associate

Before transitioning into the Special Projects role, I learned the ins and outs of product warehousing and distribution by working with the leading onsite account representative in the area. I worked firsthand with many of our accounts in the area to source and deliver products and supplies necessary for our partners' success. Working on special projects has further deepened my understanding of supply chain and inventory solutions. Instead of just delivering the parts, I am now working with our partners to improve their systems and efficiency. Thanks to my continued time and experience at Dillmeier glass, I can apply the continuous improvement and lean mindset to my solutions, creating streamlined solutions. Show less
