  In 2021, I participated in and won a hackathon alongside a group of friends by developing a platform that provided educational opportunities for students across Romania. This experience inspired us to take our efforts further and, in 2024, we officially launched Alacrity Education, a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the Romanian education system.The skills developed with these experience:Project Management & Leadership: Spearheaded the development of a student opportunity platform and co-founded an NGO, driving initiatives to improve education and making STEAM subjects more accessible and engaging.Team Collaboration: Worked effectively in a team setting to win a hackathon and later lead a diverse group of professionals and volunteers to establish an educational non-profit.Strategic Planning: Crafted long-term strategies for the NGO, including setting goals for inclusivity in education and improving student engagement with STEAM subjects.Problem-Solving & Innovation: Developed creative solutions for enhancing educational access and improving student participation in STEM through innovative programs.Non-Profit Development: Led the founding and growth of "Alacrity Education," managing everything from initial concept to official launch in 2024.   During these months, I completed +125 hours of online and on-site lectures and workshops on entrepreneurship and business fundamentals. I learned about: 1) The PERFORM methodology 📝2) How to do a pitch and present your business idea 🗣3) Funding sources for start-ups (VC, angel investors, bootstrapping, crowdfunding, etc) 💲4) SDGs and sustainable businesses 🌿5) The legal knowledge about opening a start-up and intellectual property 💼6) Digital marketing, storytelling and the fundamentals of sales. 🤳7) How to be more creative, motivated, and disciplined. 🦄I also got the opportunity to visit Estonian companies like Funderbeam, Start-up Wise Guys, Estate Guru, Comodule, and I heard the amazing founder stories of Dillali, Ringy.shop, SWG and Linkedist.At the end of the program, I got the luck to join the team 360panorama and we won the Hackathon organised at the end of the training period.   As the creator and instructor of "Tu și Știința," an engaging science course designed for children aged 6-12, I developed and taught interactive lessons on fundamental physics and chemistry concepts. Through hands-on experiments and interactive digital simulations, students explored topics such as atomic structure, Newton's laws, energy, forces, and practical applications like building boats, bridges, and rockets.   Admitted in the first educational gap year program where students are traveling around the world with a financial aid package.In my first semester of my gap year, I've got to learn about American politics, history, culture and I visited 3 tribes in the Amazon Rainforest to see how they live and learn. Finding metrics and getting data to measure the quality of the Morning Program and how students engage with the materials provided, as well as with the talks given by our speakers.
