      My research project focused on the effects of reactive oxygen species on the insulin signalling pathway in adipocytes. This mainly involved analysing the effects that various NOX and mitochondrial inhibitors had on cultured mouse embryonic fibroblasts and differentiated adipocytes, particularly their ability to induce an insulin response (activate molecules in the insulin signalling pathway).
