  Conducted voluntary undergraduate research at the Computational Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (LabCFD) under the guidance of Professor José Roberto Nunhez and Professor Nicolas Spogis. The primary objective was to analyze mass and heat transfer in a stirred tank reactor (CSTR) fitted with a "half-coil" jacket welded to the equipment (assuming vapor in equilibrium conditions—saturated vapor—ideally designed to prevent condensation within the coil). The study involved variations in the number of baffles, types of impellers (Rushton and PBT), and geometric configurations (flat base and torispherical). Simulations were performed using Ansys's CFX turbomachinery software. Non-dimensional parameters such as Reynolds (agitation), Schmidt (mass transfer), and Nusselt (heat transfer) were utilized to characterize the transfer phenomena. Exibir menos

  Title: Mathematical Models for Social and Environmental Management in Watersheds.This scientific initiation project was conducted in collaboration with research professors from PUC-Campinas and managers from the PCJ Basin Committee. Using data from the SNIS database, a qualitative analysis of water sources was performed, alongside the identification of areas prone to extreme events (drought, water shortages) and mathematical modeling. The project employed Python for descriptive scenario analysis and R for mathematical modeling, utilizing linear programming and DEA (VRS output-oriented model). Successfully completed, the project achieved its objectives and became a valuable decision-making tool for assessing the current situation of the PCJ basins. Exibir menos

Collected information through literature review, experimental data analysis, and discussions with involved researchers. Key parameters included operational conditions (temperature, pressure), input consumption, conversions, and productivity. Developed biorefinery models through mass and energy balances using Python, spreadsheets, and process simulation software. Supported the process engineer in tasks related to productivity enhancement and processability improvements. A aplicação de controles avançados APC/MPC traz maior estabilidade ao processo e consolida meu papel como um engenheiro de processos que une conhecimento técnico e liderança para a entrega de resultados expressivos e mensuráveis. Utilizo ferramentas avançadas de simulação de processos, como Aspen Plus e Hysys, para analisar e implementar soluções técnicas robustas, elevando a eficiência operacional. Além disso, aplico metodologias e ferramentas do Six Sigma na estimativa e análise de dados, garantindo maior precisão nas tomadas de decisão e na avaliação de desempenho dos processos. Minha atuação é marcada pelo constante contato com a coordenação e a equipe de produção das fábricas, realizando alinhamentos estratégicos que asseguram a implementação eficiente das melhorias sugeridas e o cumprimento das metas operacionais.
