  As a student researcher, I worked to develop innovative techniques to create a more sustainable environment by reducing carbon dioxide, a leading pollutant, from the atmosphere. Specifically, I identified biochar as a potential solution to mitigating excess carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere. As such, I manufactured biochar and tested it's ability to facilitate carbon dioxide removal and studied its role in generating energy.
