  Clinical Trial Specialist

  As a Lead Specialist pharmacist I was expected to take full responsibility in delivering an extensive service to the various research teams across the trust. My role included reviewing protocols, financial assessments, initiations, procurement and producing efficient working procedures. I excelled in this role from the beginning and have often been praised for improving the service by implementing technological advancement to the working systems which streamlined a multitude of services. I have had oversight of hundreds of trials in this role for numerous specialties including, oncology, haematology, cardiology, respiratory, vascular and gynaecology. I have kept my clinical knowledge updated in this role by continuing to complete clinical assessments of various prescriptions from both inpatient and outpatients departments. I have worked closely to implement a new financial management system to improve the regulation of income and outgoing for the clinical trials department. I manage operational staff as well as provide training to other pharmacists. I conduct protocol and amendment reviews and take the responsibility to assess the ability of Pharmacy to support the trial. Show less
