  Developing the “Production Oriented Management” HR solution.When a company hires an employee, it is expected that this person will generate or contribute to generate income to the hiring company in order to achieve a certain ROI (Return Of Investment) within a defined time span. Why do companies rarely have a strategic employment plan to achieve that? Why is an employees efforts rewarded, while ROI has been demoted to a lower priority?Investigations revealed that there were no concepts for a “Production Oriented Management” HR solution (in Norwegian: Ytelsesbasert Personalbehandling). With help from a medium sized company, the concept has been formed, including a desktop application to support it.There is nothing coming by itselves. The management in a company implementing the concept must be able to understand it and see the benefits for the company in total. They must accept that changes must include everyone - also them selves. The latter is a major obstacle, because it seems that business owners are happy to pay their managers vages as long as the the cash flow is positive. What the ideal cash flow could be, seems to be forgotten or suppressed by the daily tasks.When the concept is needed as productivity will become a major issue, it will be ready as an addon to the present HR-system, or able to act as one for smaller companies having no HR system yet.
