  Design and construction of a new wet pet food plant (canned food facility). Adding all the strategies defined within our Smart Factory standard converting this site as the Corporation’s highest automated facility.With a fleet of AGVs and AMRs to provide material handling and delivery high flexibility for the site production planning. Introducing inline vision systems for 100% product inspection avoiding cans with quality defects to leave the plant. Robotic quality stations with several checks replacing repetitive task using mini industrial robots and cobots, increasing test precision and accuracy as releasing humans for more value added activities on the floor. Integrating systems to develop a "Connected Workforce" culture where paper is not needed. High performance HMIs inside a strategically designed control room to deploy operators and technicians to areas of need. All automation and systems in place allows to reduce by 50% the headcount comparing to similar capacity sites in our network.During the executing I had the privilege to Lead an internal team of up to 6 automation specialists and around 50 different engineers from business partners integrators that supported us during the project. Design the controls, networking and manufacturing system (Batch) for a new Modular Oral care facility installed in Africa (Nigeria) and to be operated by local partners, this engineering design has the feature of enables to be dismantle and commissioned in a different place. Some other projects with the same characteristics has now been started for our different business units. Design of a pilot Post addition skid to be used by our R&D team on the creation of new formulas, which the capability of scale-up easier to our manufacturing sites.
