I also assisted the district in revising MOUs for use between the Corps and the Fish and Wildlife Service.

  As a legal intern for AWEA I was assigned a research and writing project in coordination with efforts by the Western Resource Advocates located in Boulder, CO. The purpose of the project was to examine regulatory issues that were inherent in renewable energy transmission projects. At this position I completed and delivered a findings report which detailed policy, legal, and land use impacts and suggested changes in order to further facilitate renewable energy growth while promoting current energy production.   As an intern for the EPA I was responsible for assisting enforcement attorneys with completing a multitude of cases for litigation and settlement. While at this position l completed many legal research and writing assignments including jury instructions, complaints, consent agreements, motions, case referrals, memorandums of law, and briefs. I also assisted the enforcement attorneys in document discovery and settlement conference preparation. While most of the work I completed at the EPA focused heavily on federal regulation, much of the work required a mastery of administrative legal principles which where demonstrated throughout the whole of my work product.
