      Full responsibility for the training and employment portfolio of $1.1bn annual investment including the operations of TAFE Queensland. Departmental lead and significant contributor to the Taskforce that conducted a full review of the Queensland training system.Achievements:  Delivered efficiency dividends and a surplus position for the 2012/2013 financial year significantly above budget whilst maintaining the quantum of training delivery with reduced funding, increasing non-government revenues and improving productivity across the system.  Transformed service delivery through the reorganisation of resources which produced greater outcomes and improved external stakeholder satisfaction. Show less Responsible for management and strategic oversight of TAFE Queensland, inclusive of 11 Institutes with a combined turnover of $760M, and the central functions of TAFE within the Department including the Queensland VET Development Centre. Achievements: Developed relationships and consolidated planning in the areas of infrastructure, finance, human resources and information and communication technology (ICT), establishing a business intelligence and performance monitoring tool – ‘Dashboard’ that set targets across all Institutes to improve the operational performance of TAFE Institutes. As the CEO I was responsible for $700M turnover: 5,300 employees: 125,000 customers annually: 500 products/programs with key focus areas of strategy, operations including business development and partnerships, information technology, finance, people and culture, products, quality and projects.Achievements:Transformed TAFE Queensland from an underperforming organisation to deliver 5 years of profitability and $300M Net Value via a strong Balance Sheet. This involved: Merging 13 individual Institutes into one entity, restructuring the organisation to deliver cost savings and increased productivity and performance  Designed and led a cultural change strategy to communicate vision, build commercial, performance based thinking and behaviour as well as drive and reward innovation. Establishing a commercial governance structure to refocus the organisation, minimise risk and improve commercial outcomes, driving improved decision making and accountability and implementing enhanced systems and process. Developing an enhanced customer (student) experience in a newly contestable user pays market with a redevelopment of product and marketing strategy with student satisfaction of 87.9% and employer satisfaction of 90%.  Driving a digital strategy including new and improved learning and student management systems and a complete refresh of all corporate applications on time and within budget.  Growing international business with globally recognised training forging new industry partnerships throughout Asia and the Pacific. Building safety first thinking improving safety ratings across the organisation from 2.9 to 4 out of 5 over a 3 year period.
