  I was working as research nurse in two cross-sectional studies. Which are severe typhoid in northern Tanzania in which were investigating the causes of typhoid and fever surveillance project in northern Tanzania.In both studies i were doing enrolment in both hospital and community setting, sample collection and transportation, follow up and quality check of study CRF.

  At Ifakara Health Institute I was involved in two clinical trials.Hypertension clinical trial named CORTHA which aim on investigating the most effective treatment to treat uncontrolled arterial hypertension to African population. It was multisite (Tanzania and Lesotho) randomized control trial. The trial was beginning in December 2019.The protocol was published in 2021. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/pmc7818218/.The following were my responsibilities in that trial,• Screening and enrolment of participants according to study protocol. • Sample collection for Point of care tests (creatinine test and UPT), lab investigation and storage.• Performing questionnaire, filling CRF in both paper CRF and macro data base (electronic data base).• Performing follow up to patients to six month of study follow up.• And other study activities.The trial was closed in October 2022.TB-CAPT Trial.This trial aiming on expanding X-pert Altra testing for TB diagnosis among hospitalized HIV patients due to the difficulties in producing sputum for GeneXpert. It is multi sites (Tanzania and Mozambique) randomized control trial. The trial was started in October 2022The following were my responsibilities in that trial,• Screening and enrolment of participants according to study protocol. • Sample collection (blood, urine, stool, tongue swabs, CSF if requires and other body fluids) for Point of care tests (Alere LAM, CRP), lab investigation and storage.• Performing questionnaire, filling CRF in both paper CRF and Opeclinica data base (electronic data base).• Performing follow up to patients to two month of study follow up.• And other study activities.
