During the 2020 Junior Officer Excellence in Tactics Award competition, his outstanding professional competence and command presence allowed him to skillfully execute all tactical evolutions in an exemplary manner. He further demonstrated an intricate understanding of ship weapons, sensors, interfaces, and communications and a thorough knowledge of threat capabilities integrating with Navy tactics, techniques, and procedures.
