      Work completed as in part of B.Eng. degree requirements. Worked with the Nano-Microfluidics team developing structural applications for 'lab-on-a-chip' diagnostics. Using laser writing and lithographic techniques.The project was successful in designing a functioning micro bead filter whilst circumventing resolution limitations encountered with the current lab techniques. My innovative design was hailed as a research milestone; paving the way for commercialization of a functioning prototype.

      Conducted research on the upgrading of Heavy Oil feedstocks using abundant local catalyst (Zeolites) as a means to increase oil yield and process efficiency. Trend analysis and identification were reported on formally; paving the way for for future pilot scale projects. Reaction scheme and methodology was developed through experimental trial and analysis; the results obtained confirmed the possibility of ground breaking improvements in oil extraction were possible. The magnitude of impact was a minimum potential increase in synthetic oil production of around 30% or approximately worth 8.1 Billion dollars pa to the industry. Show less
