Siemens has signed an extension of a long-term service agreement with Qatar Power Company (QPOWER) to maintain and support the power generation requirements of Ras Laffan B combined-cycle power plant for an additional 15 years.With this agreement Siemens will provide maintenance, parts and repair services for three SGT5-4000F gas turbines, two SST5-6000 steam turbines, and their associated generatorsUmm Al Houl Power(UHP) is an independent Water and Power producer, established in 2015, and is designed for a capacity of generating 2,520 megawatt of power and 136.5 million gallons drinking water per day. The power portion of the project comprises two combined-cycle power blocks where each block includes three Siemens SGT5-4000 gas turbine generators; three heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) with bypass stacks and duct burning; and two Siemens SST5-4000 condensing steam turbine generators (STGs) with controlled low-pressure steam extractions.
