  Helped develop and write local union officer and shop steward training material. Research, script treatment and other writing for union comprehensive bargaining/organizing campaigns and for union equity/anti-discrimination, health and safety, environmental safe energy (anti-nuclear) and other programs. Participated in film shoots and did film and documentary research for teachers union program promoting public education and other film projects.

  Developed, edited and wrote a quarterly 24-page newsletter for local union officers and shop stewards. Served as writer and editorial assistant for NALC monthly membership magazine and other union publications. Helped update and revise union education department's training and orientation material. Wrote chapter covering the decade 1970-1980, and revised earlier chapters of NALC' s official history.

Developed syllabus and taught intensive grammar and essay writing test preparation class.Duties also included tutoring in basic literacy and ESOL (English as a Second Language).Taught classes on poetry, literature, theatre and history as part of the Adult Continuing Education program at Allenwood.Frequently sought out by fellow inmates for additional, out-of-classroom help and mentoring.
