      Senior Researcher

      ITV is the largest television and broadcasting company in the UK, operating across a large family of channels and their demand platform, ITV Hub. ITV (One) alone reaches 40 million individuals each week, accounting for 67% of all TV viewership. As an experienced researcher, my role was to support flagship shows and news teams on the content they can use as part of their broadcasts. Please see below for an overview of my core responsibilities across the shows I serviced:Senior Archive Researcher - Daybreak and Lorraine (Jul 2011 - May 2015)• Sourcing and clearing relevant programme material and clips• Liaise with external suppliers and publicists for promotional clips to timely delivery content for broadcasts• Owning copywrite disputes and discrepancies throughout the programme• Log and edit new stock video using ITV bespoke software• Work towards briefs provided by producers, to ensure content is aligned with shows objectives and target audience • Planning and managing fixed events and the delivery of content needed throughout the yearResearcher - 60 Minute Makeover (Oct 2010 - Jun 2011)• Collaborating with designers to support in the delivery of their show concepts• Budget management across content/logistics required for the shows and events held• Negotiating and bargaining with 3rd party suppliers to ensure cost effective delivery of goods and services required for the show (i.e. furniture and labour required)• Administrative duties post-show to ensure all agreements and dependencies have been fulfilled Runner/Research Assistant - This Morning (Jul 2005 - Sep 2010)• Setting up film shoots on location in the UK and abroad• Reconnaissance work for potential filming locations and venues, outlined by the shows brief• Negotiating prices with photographers, property owners, magazines and picture agencies• Administrative duties, including: purchase order, invoicing, setting up new clients and accounts, briefing contributors and guests etc. Show less

      The London Borough of Islington is home to over 215,000 people and one of 32 London Borough Councils in London. My role is to support the Children’s Services Performance Team by assisting with the management of data collection for statutory returns and for providing regular performance management information to service managers which assists in improved outcomes for the 40,000 plus children and young people living in Islington.Responsibilities:• Define and output Microsoft Excel based reporting using a combination of first and third-party data sources to help public servants meet the expectations of those they serve• Complete in-depth analysis and interrogation of complex data sets, working towards a brief provided by senior council staff• To create, distribute and communicate key statistical information to various council teams and manage feedback/questions• Work alongside data management specialists, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of information kept within the council databases; as well as managing the accessibility of this highly sensitive information across the different council teams• Providing education to the different public servants, across all levels, to empower them to better use data within their day to day functions• Work towards specific deadlines and scoping requirements across all delivery of reporting• Work with wider council teams and specialists to collaborate on the recommendations and insights that can be provided through the council databases Show less
