      Activities and Societies: During my time at Priestley College I was heavily involved in the community and college spirit. I was a member on the College Council and in 2013 we organised the Valedictory. I earned full marks in the Extended Level 3 Diploma in Public Services and volunteered at every opportunity. I had the pleasure of experiencing the armed forces whilst at Priestley. Notably I took part in the Royal Navy Heart Stop first aid course and stayed upon HMS Bristol. I also raised over £140 for Children in Need.

      At Birchwood Community High School I achieved 10 GCSE's all graded A-C's. I was involved in the Hope Project while I studied here and spent a lot of my time here raising money for charity and campaigning for local politics; most notably a campaign against the closing of the local Fire Station.

      Over the 12th of August to the 14th of August I had the immense privilege of working with JMW Solicitors and experiencing a number of several different roles within a leading medical negligence firm. It also gave me a wide range of admin and office experience. This was an opportunity that High School students seldom come by and featured training in these roles: - Considered the Clinical Negligence Pre-Action Protocol- Requested Medical Records using the Protocol Form- Sorted and Paginated medical records using the prepared index- Prepared Schedule of Radiology- Reviewed medical records and considered issues of limitations breach of duty and causation- Drafted allegations of negligence for a Letter of Claim- Carried out quantum research using JSB Guidelines- Attended a meeting with a client- Attended a session with the Clinical Negligence Communications Manager and considered marketing tools used by law firms to attract new clients- Drafted a blog for the website Show less
