      Senior Manager/Operational Planner & Fires Resources Instructor

      I provided subject matter expertise, curriculum development, and facilitated training programs for operational readiness and execution of ground combat, artillery, and naval gunfire. As a recognized leader of the Marine Staff Training Program (MSTP), I developed and published new training resources to deliver the highest caliber programs and advanced tactical methodologies.

      Upon arriving in Japan, I was accountable for managing the logistical planning and delivery of 5 artillery training exercises per year, with >1000 participants and vessel equipment relocation to training destinations in mainland Japan, Thailand, Philippines, and Korea. I managed a team of 60 direct reports across functional groups and oversaw a $50M annual budget.

      This was a multifaceted role during a 6-month deployment of combat where I formulated U.S., NATO, and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIRoA) key leader’s engagement and communication plans. I also directed the linguist management program, including national and local national interpreters. Directly supporting the Commanding General, I led the translation and issuance of his guidance and direction as documented policies and programs.

My responsibilities were to enhance preparedness and agility by leading joint and MAGTF Fires training in exercises, developing strategic SOPs, and mentoring staff on digital and advanced fire capabilities.

I ensured JOCE staff was trained, equipped, and prepared to facilitate communication and information exchange during North Korean provocations and crisis’.
