  I was responsible for the day to day accounting operations, I prepared quarterly consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP and assisted the Treasurer in the preparation of the annual budget. I oversaw all aspects of the annual external audit process, including the preparation of the financial statements and the related footnotes. I was also responsible for the preparation of the Foundation's annual Federal Form 990 and the many state tax returns.   I was responsible for the day to day accounting processes and for the annual audit and tax work. Additionally, I was responsible for the collection of delinquent tuition payments from parents. I prepared various reports for the quarterly Investment Committee meetings, prepared and monitored the annual operating budget and supervised a staff of five. I also worked closely with the Bookstore Manager to ensure accurate recording of bookstore sales and inventory and I worked with the Director of Development to make sure gift revenues were recorded and tracked appropriately.   I am responsible for the day to day management of Towson University Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. The Foundation was created to provide and manage private dollars in support of the students and the varied programs of Towson University, part of the University System of Maryland. My responsibilities include preparation of the annual operating budget, management of both the annual external and internal audits, preparation of the IRS Form 990, coordination and management of the 403(b) retirement plans and various other benefit plans, and finally I manage the daily cash flow. Additionally, I serve as the liason to the Board of Directors and to the various committees of the Board. Supervise a staff of three. Show less
