Assisted in executing analytical experiments under contract with Wright-Patterson Air Force Research Laboratory.Experience Highlights:— Performed wet-lab research, using methods including Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), optical dilatometry, thermal desorption, and solvent extraction. Also have experience using Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), UV/Vis Spectroscopy, analytical balances, centrifuges— Executed experiments and analyzed data in a project studying the effectiveness of certain chemical components in paint strippers on polyurethane and epoxy aircraft coatings.— Performed experiments and analysis on nitrile, fluorosilicone, fluorocarbon, and fluoroelastomer aircraft O-ring sealants in many types of jet fuel, characterizing their swell behavior.— Maintained inventory on chemicals and equipment as well as purchasing them. Also maintained high standards of laboratory safety by safely disposing of waste in properly labeled waste containers.— Minimized unnecessary expenses by using minimal sample sizes and jet fuel amounts to still achieve expected analysis results.— Responsible for managing schedule of all required experiments and data analysis in timely manner in order to meet deadlines.— Ensured high quality data by making sure same experiment standards and methodology were applied to all samples, redoing experiments when necessary to get meaningful results.— Reported data and results to supervisor in timely manner.
