  As a referee I began in Sutherland in 2015 where I slowly progressed through the ranks to be recognised by the NSW State League Referees BranchOver the past 4 seasons I have been an Assistant Referee on the NSW NPL where I have done over 75 games. I continue to referee in the Shire Premier League, Blacktown Premier League and other competitions throughout NSW.   I began this role in March 2022 where I was set with a challenge to help the branch recover from the COVID 19 Pandemic. Throughout the first year I ran multiple courses attracting 70 new referees, as well as upgrading many referee’s. I maintained a 95% coverage rate in the BDSFA competition which is one of the highest coverage rates in NSW in 2022, and similar to what the coverage was pre-pandemic, something that was not the same anywhere else in NSW. In 2023 I aim to increase our numbers further, as well as promote the new BCSRB Centre of Refereeing Excellence (CORE) and cover over 98% of games.   Working in a volunteer role with Football South Coast to look at their recruitment and retention strategies. FSC has one of the best competitions in the country, therefore the importance of their referees can not be under estimated.
