      The tasks performed included:–Development of a multiplex minisequencing technique (SNaPshot) for simultaneous detection of 10 SNPs by capillary electrophoresis. –Development and monitoring of nutritional intervention trials in humans::-Evaluation of the efficacy of an iron- fortified fruit juice in two parallel groups: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of 16-week of duration in a group of 122 women of childbearing age.-Evaluation of a dairy product fortified with iron and vitamin D in two parallel groups: a randomized, controlled, double-blind study of 16-week of duration in a group of 108 women of childbearing age.-Postprandial assay of a sodium bicarbonate mineral water, randomized, 4-way crossover in 21 volunteers.–Biochemical analysis by ELISA.–Dietary assesment by 72-hours dietary intake report and food frequency questionnaire..–Anthropometric measurements using standardized techniques and determination of physical activity.–Design of specific questionnaires for intervention trials.       During this stay I participated in the study of the expression of the transferrin gene depending on the different alleles of the SNP, for which I used the following techniques:–Plasmids constructs and site-directed mutagenesis –Cell culture (Hep3B) and transfection of the plasmids obtained.–Measurement of gene expression using the luciferase assay.
