  In my time at the Academy of Hair Design, I wore many hats. I came in as a Social Media Intern which blossomed into a later role as a Social Media Specialist. In this position, I curated and published content on the Academy of Hair Design Springfield, MO and Austin, TX media pages. I worked within the websites via SEO, writing, editing, and curation. One of my favorite responsibilities was teaching a class to all incoming students about optimizing their social media for their professional ambitions. My second role in Admissions involved leading prospective students on tours, following up with potential students and their families, and answering phones to field questions. I also worked closely with other staff in event planning and development. After some time in the two above positions, I transitioned into working half the time in my prior roles and half time as a Financial Aid Assistant. In this role, I worked directly with the Director of Financial Aid. I performed audits of student records, helped students apply for and receive aid, and assisted students in entrance and exit surveys. Show less

  Social Media Coordinator

  As the Social Media Coordinator for FMO, I worked closely with vendors to understand their stories and learn how best to tell them to the greater Springfield area via various social channels. I collaborated within a tight-knit team of executive managers and directors of the market, leading multiple, ongoing fundraising teams to successful outreach and goal attainment, including work with local charities. Additionally, I published blogs, press releases, and was responsible for the distribution of weekly events each season using WordPress and MailChimp programs. In my time with FMO, I successfully increased the social media presence and engagement across the greater Springfield area using Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Outside of my specific role in social media, I worked frequently at the Market Hub, a booth inside the physical Farmer's Market of the Ozarks to assist customers with their questions, concerns, and purchases at the Market.   As a customer technical support agent I would respond to and manage technical support calls, helping troubleshoot issues for pump users and their families. I would investigate problems on an individual basis, thoroughly document each issue, and collaborate with Tandem field representatives across the country to ensure that each patient receives a timely and satisfactory resolution. I especially enjoyed my role as a customer advocate who represented the customer’s needs internally.
