He grew the company from a $500,000 per year company to a $42 million company. Mr. McDaniels managed the building of over 600 homes in four counties and developed 256 homesites by increasing the company's regional income and return on investment. He implemented the Balance Score Card business planning model developed by Harvard University for benchmarking business strategies to enhance the customer experience, convenience, and understanding of the homebuilding process.   Vice President of Real Estate and Community Development - Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority (RRHA) Mr. McDaniels was responsible for supervisory and management oversight of City development and redevelopment activities with a professional staff of 20 employees. He successfully managed a $7 million department budget to achieve optimal financial results. Mr. McDaniels implemented two new strategy business units: Real Estate Brokerage Firm and a Home Center for affordable housing counseling. Additionally, he worked with the City’s Economic Development department to increase business ownership and seek commercial amenities for communities. Mr. McDaniels established and identified relationships with financial institutions. He directed American Recovery & Reinvestment Act Stimulus and Capital Fund Grant projects in excess of $18 million dollars. Mr. McDaniels managed the organization’s affordable housing loan program portfolio and bond issuance programs. He developed non-profit, public, and private sector partnerships to create mix finance projects, affordable housing programs, HUD Section 3 program, and homeownership home center counseling and sales. Furthermore, Mr. McDaniels managed a $26 million Hope VI grant program for rental and home ownership. Neighborhoods in Bloom program for homeownership; redevelopment of for Greater Richmond Transit Company historic site for a mix income community. Key component in City of Richmond and RRHA development of the Choice Neighborhood Planning Grant. TCB is the largest and oldest non-profit housing developer in the nation. We have assisted TCB with two Choice Neighborhood Planning grants. Our last attempt for the CNI planning grant award fell short by 8 points. Our primary clients in recent years included City of Richmond, The Community Builders, Inc., Rocky Mount, NC’s Teacher of the Word Tabernacle Church, and other private and public entities. Over the past few years we have assisted the City of Richmond with its efforts to transform the Leigh Street Armory into the new home of the Black History and Cultural Museum by successfully obtaining a $500,000 grant. Mr. McDaniels is responsible for executing all housing programs while ensuring adherence to all regulatory driven rules and regulations in the administration of federal funds. In addition, Mr. McDaniels has created a Home Tour to facilitate the exposure of homes for sales in the DC metropolitan area for first time homebuyers.
