The project was the first phase of Regent Street redevelopment in the heart of London’s west end. The site being adjacent to the busy Oxford Circus underground station and junction posed many logistical challenges. The existing site was made up of eleven structures of varying ages and forms of construction with a listed Georgian stone façade along the Regent Street elevation which had to be retained in the new scheme. The development provided high specification office and residential accommodation plus retail outlets at ground level to Regent Street, which includes the Apple flagship store. Show less

Colchester Barracks Phase 1 & 2 was a Joint venture with Lagan Group to provide the full enabling and infrastructure works for the new £600m PFI army barracks at Colchester for the Ministry of Defence. The project included both works on existing green field areas along with areas of the existing barracks, whilst maintaining full security and operational status for the live barracks site. The project involved the demolition and groundworks to part of the old Spitalfields market on the edge of the City of London to make way for a new City office development for Hammerson. The project was carried out successfully despite the confined city centre location and tight programme constraints.

Following on from the successful stage 1 demolition works Keltbray negotiated the pile enabling and sub-structure works packages on the Central St Giles development for Stanhope. The substructure package commenced with pile probing works to a depth of 5m allowing for the installation of secant wall and bearing piles. Running concurrently to the pile enabling works was pile attendance & a sequenced archaeological excavation to specific areas of the site followed by temporary works installation and bulk excavation works. Show less Keltbray carried out the demolition and enabling package to facilitate the construction of the Pinnacle tower in the heart of the City. The existing site was made up of three existing structures, of which 38 Bishopsgate proved to be the most challenging resulting in extensive specialist cutting and craneage being utilised for its de construction. In conjunction to the de construction works an extensive enabling works package was carried out in advance of the piling and sub structure packages. Show less The project entailed the formation of the new basement structure for the Ropemaker Place office development on the edge of the City Of London for British Land. The project was successful due to pre-planning and co-ordination with both the piling and RC contractor which was carried out in as a pre construction phase. Extensive temporary works were installed in conjunction with the existing basement demolition to allow maximum area for the follow on blue sky dig and new RC basement and core formation. Show less The building consisted of an 8 storey concrete frame 1960’s office building with a shared party wall to the Southern boundary. The initial works entailed the removal of asbestos based materials and de-commissioning of the existing services, this was followed by a soft strip operation and then full structural demolition. Structural demolition was carried out on a floor by floor basis using mini excavators & skid steers down to second floor. Down to second floor level where larger machines were then used to complete the demolition. Show less The Works entailed the Demolition of the existing 9 storey office buildings that formed the St Giles Court office complex at the Eastern end of Oxford Street in the West end of London. The demolition was carried out to make way for the 403,883 sq ft Central Saint Giles mixed residential and office development for Stanhope Plc. The works were carried out over 2 stages with an initial asbestos removal and de rating operation followed by a return visit to complete the structural demolition. Show less

To prepare the site for the new Heron tower development two existing 1960 tower blocks on the site were de- constructed utilising tower crane demolition , this was followed by an extensive pile enabling and temporary works activities. An advanced 12 month pre-construction period was used to develop the successful top down basement construction that allowed for the 3 new basement levels to be formed concurrently to the superstructure erection. The demolition of – Copthall Avenue formed part of the Drapers Garden development. The site was located in the center of the City Of London which presented many logistical challenges requiring progressive planning with other trades working in adjacent projects. The building consisted of a 6 storey concrete frame with a single basement. Permanent ties were installed to ensure the stability of the adjacent party wall structures which were retained. The project involved the removal of contaminated ducting, soft strip and internal demolition within two existing building know as B3 and B4 on the Glaxo Smith Kline research facility in Ware Hertfordshire. The works were carried out whilst the research site remained operational with the works being interfaced with other construction and refurbishment operations being carried out concurrently on the site.
